With more than 110 participating institutions from all over the country and more than 120 teachers, the "100 orchards" project began, a theoretical-practical training project in the design and development of educational agroecological orchards throughout the country promoted by the Fundación Club de Rome Argentina Chapter in coordination with the Carrefour International Foundation.
"100 orchards" aims to accompany and strengthen the technical capacities of referents from more schools and social institutions throughout the country, in relation to food security and sovereignty.
More than 110 institutions participate in it, including primary and secondary schools and gardens, picnic areas, homes and other community spaces from different locations in Neuquen, Rio Negro, Salta, Buenos Aires, the Ciudad Autónoma of Buenos Aires, Santiago del Estero, Jujuy, Entre Rios, Corrientes, Cordoba, Tucuman and Santa Fe.
The training in charge of Sofia Speciali, graduated in Environmental Sciences, and part of the technical team of the Club of Rome, contemplates virtual meetings over 6 months, the assembly of the orchard in person and with the collaboration of the Carrefour volunteer team Argentina and the accompaniment in the implementation and maintenance of the orchards, especially at the change of season.
We continue working to provide tools to promote healthy eating in every corner of the country.
In our networks we will be sharing more news about the program, do not miss them.
