WATER FOR DEVELOPMENT
Water is essential for life and sustainable community development. From the Argentine Club of Rome, we work to improve the quality of life of rural or peripheral communities without access to water and basic sanitation, articulating with public and private actors projects that have the beneficiary communities as protagonists.
Since 2008, we have carried out access works in 13 communities and rural schools, located in the provinces of Chaco, Salta, Santiago del Estero and Misiones, where we have installed surface water pumping mills with pipelines, rainwater harvesting cisterns with improved catchment areas, elevated storage tanks, water filtering systems and piston pumps. The works were accompanied by community training workshops, with the aim of providing tools for the operation, maintenance and reproduction of the technologies used.
